In Swan Independent Research’s August 2014 survey into Business Communications solutions, satisfaction with their mobile contract scored almost the lowest, beaten only by satisfaction with the overall cost of office communications.
SIR sent the online survey to around 12,000 UK SMEs that had stated they employed between 10 and 100 staff.
Companies no longer want to be locked into 24-month mobile contracts. Senior management often want to upgrade their handsets to the latest model but are happy for their staff to keep their handset for as long as it still works. Also the networks are constantly trying to leap-frog each other and people want to have the freedom to switch more regularly.
The business communications market is starting to follow the consumer market in opting for SIM-only contracts and this is growing the number of staff that benefit from corporate mobiles.
Jola’s monthly SIM includes free calls and texts for only £12.50 a month. Companies can give these to their staff without fear of them running up huge bills and without having to fork out for handsets. Employees get a perk and the employers save money in the long run by avoiding the admin and cost of reclaimed calls.
