5 reasons to upgrade from fibre broadband

If you are one of the 4 in 10 businesses in the UK that can get Fibre Broadband you are probably enjoying a significant improvement in performance. You may not be aware that for a small monthly premium you can upgrade your Fibre Broadband to a new type of dedicated leased line that will reduce your overall communications spend by around 50%. How is this possible?

1. Fibre broadband is a contented service i.e. shared. When the network gets busy your service will slow down and this can make it unsuitable for carrying time-sensitive applications like voice. If you upgrade to a dedicated service you can cancel all your telephone lines and use your leased line instead. For an average SME with 6-8 telephone lines this will save you around £200 per month.

2. Once you have a dedicated Internet service you can move over to a modern cloud-based telephone system. This means you can get rid of the phone system completely saving you maintenance costs and any future costs involved with moving, adding/removing extensions or upgrading software.

3. Call charges are significantly cheaper over IP and if you move to a cloud-based telephone system all your UK mobile and UK landline charges are free. This will save the average SME around £150 per month.

4. Leased lines come with 24x7 support and a better care level than either telephone lines or Fibre broadband so you will suffer less down-time. If problems occur they will be fixed quicker.

5. Your internet connection will be quicker and more predictable. You can confidently move more applications and data into the cloud, work more flexibly and save money on infrastructure and support.
