How to generate leads for hosted voice and internet connectivity
Getting started
You have signed up with a supplier such as Jola for hosted voice solutions. What next?
Step 1
Add the new products and services to your website. List them under products, provide an overview of the services and if appropriate add a download to further information. Think about key words and phrases in your web content. Contact your supplier for help with text and graphics. Ensure you have a data capture box so that interested parties can submit their details for further information. Forward these leads to your sales team for immediate follow up.
Step 2
Add the new products and services to your customer collateral. You may want to create product flyers, descriptions, price lists, order forms and contracts. You may be able to get white label copies from your supplier.
Step 3
Brief your sales team and ensure they have a target and an incentive to go out and sell these services. Ensure leads are tracked and followed up effectively. What is your close rate? Could it be improved?
Step 4
Brief your customers. Add the products to your newsletter, invoice, portal etc. somewhere where your customers will see it and know who to call if they are thinking of upgrdaing their connectivity or moving to a hosted voice solution.
Step 5
Work with your account manager at your supplier. They should be able to tell you the types of customer currently buying connectivity and hosted voice and help you to identify similar prospects in your customer base. They may be able to come on customer calls with you or visit clients onsite to support you and help you to get a winning proposal together.
