How can scaffolders benefit from hosted voice?

Posted by Cherie Howlett on 23-Nov-2015 18:32:35

There are over 5000 scaffolding companies registered in the UK employing over 30,000 people according to IBISWorld’s Scaffolding Services market research report, conducted in December last year. The report suggests market revenues of over £3bn with no companies having a dominent market share. Why are so many switching to hosted voice?

Firstly the cost is attractive. You can buy a feature-rich phone licence with a high quality handset and all your UK landline and UK mobile calls for only £18.50 per month on a 36 month contract. Hosted voice negates the need for a physical telephone system in the office and traditional telephone lines. Instead of paying upfront for a phone system and maintenance contract you rent the latest handsets on per month basis.

Secondly inclusive features such as hunt groups are particularly useful to ensure that when calls come through to the main number they are automatically directed to an available staff member. Hold music comes as standard so customers can be put on hold whilst queries are chased up in the office. It gives SMEs access to features commonly enjoyed by large corporates, without the price tag.

Thirdly you can use your mobile device as an office extension making and receiving calls as if you are in the office, even when you are not.

Finally, scaffolding can be a seasonal requirement and a cloud voice system allows you to add extensions for months when you need more staff in the office and take them off when you don’t.

If you have scaffolders or similar companies in your customer base that could benefit from a feature-rich hosted phone package, contact Jola.
